CounselingWorks, P.A.
Fees and Payment Policy
Our private-pay fees range from
$75-$100 per hour, depending upon
your income and family size. You will be asked to provide us with last years tax
return as proof of income and family size if you request to pay anything less than our
full fee per hour ($100). If your financial situation changes for the better or worse
during our work together, please discuss that with us so we can adjust your fee
accordingly.
Pro Bono Services
The standard sliding scale at CounselingWorks is $75-100 per 50-minute session.
However, we provide some limited evaluation, therapy and clinical supervision services at a significantly reduced rate ($10-$40) in compliance with the
National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics. You may qualify for reduced fee services based upon financial hardship. You
do not qualify for reduced fee services if you have health insurance coverage which will pay for your care, even if you cannot use your health
insurance benefits at this office. Often, there is a waiting list for reduced fee hours. We will advise you if we have
reduced fee time available and you may qualify for it based upon financial hardship.
Payment Schedule
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. By having you pay at each session, we eliminate the need to
bill you. This helps keep our costs as low as possible, prevents the accumulation of
large debts on your part, and avoids possible risks to your privacy that occur when
invoices for service are mailed to you. We encourage you to contact us immediately
for assistance if temporary financial problems affect your ability to pay for our services
to you.
Insurance
We are an approved provide for most major insurance plans
and employee assistance programs. If you wish to use your health benefits to
pay for your services, please contact us to determine if we accept your
particular EAP or insurance plan.
Payment
Methods
For your convenience, we
accept cash, personal checks, and money orders, in addition to Visa,
Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
